The small space they had there was really difficult to handle, especially during peak times. It’s overdue that Amex found a solution for the conditions at their Seattle Centurion Club.
Previously I always had to go on a waitlist and at least once I couldn’t visit it at all due to overcrowding. I’m looking forward to visiting this new space in mid-May after my Alaska cruise. The lounge has now been relocated to the mezzanine which is still rather convenient in terms of the general layout of the terminal. Seattle is a rather affluent city with many multinational companies, and that usually translates to many Platinum/Centurion cardholders. This is a vast improvement in size as the Seattle location used to be totally inadequate in terms of size and facilities considering the traffic at SEA airport. The previous situation was really not a good picture for American Express but that’s not at all a problem limited to Seattle but other locations as well.Īmex has over-marketed the Platinum Card at least in the USA where there are really no hard requirements for the premium cards and due to the credits associated with the product it’s extremely attractive to carry it.
